Accreditations

CREST is a not for profit organisation and is governed by a formal Memorandum of Association (MOA) as a company limited by guarantee. Under this MOA, companies are invited to join a trade association as members, subject to certifying that they meet the minimum standards of ethics, methodologies, and technical capability.

The IT Health Check Service, or CHECK, was developed to enhance the availability and quality of the IT health check services that are provided to government in line with HMG policy. Companies belonging to CHECK are measured against the high standards set by CESG. Therefore, clients can be assured that they will receive a high quality service if the work is carried by a member of the CHECK scheme.

The PCI Security Standards Council was founded by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa, Inc. They aim to improve payment account data security by driving education and awareness of the PCI Security Standards.

The PCI standard requires that a Qualified Forensic Investigator is assigned and attends the site of a security breach in the immediate aftermath of an incident. MWR InfoSecurity are a VISA Qualified Forensics Investigator, and are able to provide this level of forensics support to our clients and organisations who need to understand the chain of events that led to the incident, and the subsequent validity of evidence with respect to the legal position of the business.
